Welcome to the website of the First International Conference “Audiogenic Epilepsy: from Animal Models to the Clinic”, which will be held in Salamanca, Spain, from September 9- 12, 2014.

 The conference venue is the Neuroscience Institute of Castilla y León (INCyL), which is a research center focused on the scientific study of the nervous system and its pathology as well as the training of new scientific researchers. The INCYL also supports activities designed to popularize neuroscience as it is our conference.

 The Program Committee Organizers has designed an outstanding scientific program focused on animal experimental models of epilepsy reflex (including audiogenic epilepsy) and its relation to the clinic. During the conference, we will have the opportunity to enjoy with excellent and internationally well-recognized keynote speakers. We hope that the quality of the sessions fulfill your expectations. Furthermore, we will have plenty of time and space to discuss the studies submitted as a poster. Also, all participants will have the opportunity and enough time for dialogues in a comfortable atmosphere during the welcome reception cocktail, the lunch breaks, the posters sessions and the final gala dinner.

 To the scientific quality of the conference we have to add the beauty and interest of the city of Salamanca, which is best known for its great cultural and artistic heritage, a good example is that contains one of the four oldest universities in the world still active. We will offer guided tours around the city to give you an explanation of Salamanca’s main monuments, enjoying the joy and hospitality of its citizens as the conference will meet with the patron festivities of Salamanca.
